Bell boating team events & regattas
Bell boating is a great, safe and enjoyable way to build teams. Designed by Olympic Canoe Coach David Train, the Bell Boat is a totally unique design in watercraft, its purpose is to remove the fear of taking part and to help with team work and co-operation. The versatility of the Bell Boat holds no bounds, it is a long lasting robust platform for introducing all ages to water sports as well as a classroom on the water.
Bell Boat Design
Nine metres long and 1.4 metres wide, the Bell Boat leads the way in paddlesport safety and stability. Its twin hull design with central non-slip deck area seats up to eight adults or up to twelve children with a helm. The benefit of the stable design removes the fear from having a go. You can even walk on the central deck while the boat is moving to have a go on the helm.
Design History and Prototyping
The Mk1 Bell Boat was made until 1998 when the Mk2 with Polyethelene end seats and raised gunwhales was introduced. Spares are available for both designs.
